  • 2. Live In Carers jobs This job does not require an educational degree but work experience is preferred by most of the employers. Work varies from cooking to cleaning to laundry. The salary is specified at the time of appointment which is incremented gradually over time. Apart from the salary, food and lodging is also provided. This reduces living cost of the individual and lets him/her save more. Various agencies like Sunshine Care and Bluebird care recruit people for this job. One has to adjust to new places among unknown people. Sometimes it becomes difficult to blend in a new culture away from family and friends. Moreover it is not necessary that the employer is considerate to your problems. There are many cases in which Live In Carers jobs were abused and sexually harassed. Stringent rules and regulations have helped in curbing these problems to a large extent but only issues of those who speak out is solved. Many try to keep such things to themselves in the fear of losing their job or because of the social stigma related to such issues. The employers are mostly the wealthy lot who can easily bribe the law thus hushing up the entire matter. Most often the grievances of live in carers fall on deaf ears. Unspecified work hours pose another problem. They are called upon in the middle of the night to serve during late night parties. They are supposed to take care of each and every individual in the house and even guests. They are supposed to behave and are treated like inferiors in the house. The existing laws try to prevent exploitation of live in carers and many rule have been introduced so far. This law varies from one country to another But a lack of specified guidelines plays a spoil spot. The requirement of Live In Carers jobs has increased tremendously in the last decade but the number of takers has fallen. This is a testimony to the prevalent conditions of the society which is for sure not kind to these people. There are people who treat their employees really well and try to make them feel home. Along with the specified salary, perks and gifts are also given by the employers. Like any other job, this job has its own difficulties. So the conclusion that we can draw is that the job of the live in career is indeed a very tough job and many people in our society do this job really well.

Normally, domiciliary care is meant to offer assistance and impart encouragement to the disabled and those who are unable to cope up with living independently. For example, with the case of sickness like HIV/AIDS most people shy off because of stigmatization and the entire articulation of many issues related to this pandemic.
