Hour Hand
• The Hour Hand is the SHORT
hand on the clock.
Short Hand
• The Short Hand is the LONG hand on
the clock.
Let’s Count!!
Count each number by 5’s for the
minutes:
5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55,
60, 1 hour.
Say the number the SHORT hand is
pointing to: This clock reads 9:00 or 9
o’clock.
Say the number the LONG
hand is pointing to: It’s
pointing to12. This clock reads
3:00 or 3 o’clock.
