    • Li#le  Red  Hen  and  her   Friends   By:  Tiaan  Ma*ace  
    •      A  Li/le  Red  Hen  found  a  grain  of  wheat  and  walked  over  to  her  friends  and  said,  “  Who  will  help  me  plant  this  seed?  ”      The  dog  answered,  “  I’m  busy.”      The  cat  answered,    “  I’m  busy.”      The  duck  answered,  “  I’m  busy.”      The  cow  answered,  ”I’m  busy.”            
    •          The  li/le  red  hen  said  in  a  sad  but  angry  voice,  ”  Okay,  I’ll  do  it  myself.”  So  the  li/le  red  planted  the  grain.  One  day  later  she  went  to  her  friends  and  said  happily,  “  Who  will  help  me  harvest  this  grain?”          The  dog  said,  “  I’m  chasing  cats.”        The  cat  exclaimed,  “  I’m  running  away  from  dogs.”                      
    •    The  duck  answered,  “  I’m  eaMng  a  lot  of  fish.”              The  cow  answered,  “  I’m  eaMng  a  lot  of  grass.”      The  li/le  red  hen  sighed  and  said,  “  Okay,  I  will  harvest  the  grain  on  my  own.”  So  the  li/le  red  hen  hen  harvested  the  grain.  She  went  to  her  friends  and  asked,  “  Who  will  go  to  town  to  the  ingredients  for  the  bread?”            The  dog  answered,  “  I  won’t.”      The  cat  said  back  to  her,  “  I  won’t.”      The  duck  quacked,  “  I  won’t.”            
    •    The  cow  exclaimed,  “  I’m  not  going  with  h   to  the  town.    People  try  to    T you  cook  me.”      The  li/le  red  hen  fumed,  “  Fine,  I’ll  do  it  myself.”  So  the  li/le  red  hen  drove  to  town  in  her  red  pickup  truck  to  get  the  ingredients  in  town  and  then  she  came  back  to  the  house  and  said  to  her  friends,  “  Who  will  help  bake  this  bread?”            The  dog,  cat,  duck  and  the  cow  said  at  once,  “  We  won’t.”    
    •    So  she  baked  the  bread.  Then  she  asked  to  her  friends  happily,  “  Who  will  help  me  eat  this  bread?”      The  dog,  cat,  duck  and  the  cow  said  together,  “  We  will.”      She  said,  “  Goody,  I  will  get  the    jam.”                  The  End
