    Used by schools to determine progress toward meeting the Texas Long-Range technology plan.

    Determine progress toward meeting the Texas Long-Range Goals for technology.
    Determine progress toward meeting the technology goals of Spur ISD.
    Annually gauges progress on meeting the technology requirements of the State of Texas.
  • 6. How does the STaR chart work?
    Every Campus in State completes a STaR chart survey online.
    The Survey gauges progress in four critical domains of the Texas Long Range Technology Plan.

    Educator Preparation
    Administration & Support
    Infrastructure
  • 7. How is the STaR Chart scored?
    Based on the survey a school is rated in one of the following four categories for each domain.
    Early TECH
    Developing TECH
    Advanced TECH
    Target TECH

    The State of Texas education system is making sound progress in providing Infrastructure & Administrative Support.
    The State of Texas education system needs more progress made in applying technology to Teaching & Learning & in providing proper Educator Preparation.

    In order to meet the demands of the Texas Long-range technology Plan, Spur ISD must:
    1.) Improve instruction by using technology.
    2.) Increase professional development in technology.
    3.) Provide an increased administrative support.
    4.) Continue to upgrade our infrastructure.
