  2. 2. About The Author  Hi my name is Bridget . What I like to do is play with my puppy his name is Rusty he is three years old. My hobbies are gymnastics, basketball, and softball. When I’m not playing I am playing sports with my dad, brother, or sister. But the best thing is going on the trampoline with my dad. I chose this this animal because it is the countries bird and I like eagles.
  3. 3. Who Am I  An eagle that is the largest bird of prey. The eagle that is the smallest eagle have larger broad wings, and more direct flight. Most eagle are larger then any raptor.
  4. 4. The Early Years  The baby eagle stays with its mother eagle for about twelve weeks when it is strong enough to fly which is about twelve weeks. Only about fifty percent of eaglets hatched survive the first year.
  5. 5. Habitat Sweet Habitat  The eagles habitat is near the trees and cliffs and by a river where they can find fish to eat. Bald Eagles require good food bases, perching areas, and nesting sites that’s what they require.
  6. 6. What’s On The Menu?  The eagle mostly like to eat is squirrels, chipmonks, mice, and rabbits. The eagles eat meat they love meat actually. But they mostly eat mice and rabbits. But they still eat them all because if they didn’t they would be starving.
  7. 7. Making Tracks  The eagles tracks look like three little lines. There probably not a lot of tracks. There probably most likely their in the air.
  8. 8. Simply Irresistible  The eagles a have very powerful hook like beak. The hook like beaks are for tearing flesh from their prey.
  9. 9. Where in the World  The eagle is found in the United States into Canada. But I think they mostly live in the United States. There not a lot of them now days where we live in Minnesota.
  10. 10. Facts  Did you know that the eagles wings can go 6feet long. Another fact is that there are two kinds of eagles the Bald Eagle and the Golden Eagle.
