About The Author  Hi my name is Bryce,I like cheeseburgers,bowling,golfing,M ac&cheese and drawing.  My hobbies are bowling,legos,video games.  I chose the emperor penguin because penguins are my favorite animals and I chose the emperor penguin because there the most interesting kind of penguin.
  3. 3. Who Am I ??????  The Emperor Penguin is the largest of all penguins.  A Emperor Penguin lives the coldest climate on earth. Temperatures go down-140 Fahrenheit!  Penguins can live to be 20 years.  They live breed at the beginning of winter in Antarctica.  The shape of a penguins body helps it survive.
  4. 4. The Early Years  When they hatch from a egg they are cared from their dad because their mothers are out at sea to get food.  When there with their dads they will eat the regurgitated food from their dad.  When their moms are back from sea they now go to their moms.
  5. 5. Habitat Sweet Habitat  Emperor penguins live in a cold,icy,habitat. The sun doesn't come out a lot. It has hilly places in this habitat. They sleep while standing in huddles
  6. 6. What’s on the menu???  They eat fish like herring,squid and crustaceans like crabs and crayfish.
  7. 7. Making Tracks  They make kina swirl tracks in the snow.You would find the tracks through out the regions they live.
  8. 8. Simply Irresistible!!!  The males when they find food they travel up to 60 miles to find food!  Their main enemy is the leopard seal.
  9. 9. Where in the world?  They live in Weddell and Ross Sea regions of Antarctica
  10. 10. Did you Know?  The Emperor penguin is the largest penguin.  The babies start as gray when there born.  Emperors have very insulated feathers 60 feathers for sq in.
  11. 11. Fun Fact!  Emperors have by far the deepest and longest dive for any bird.
