  2. 2. About the Author  I like to play sports.I also like to go outside. I wrote this book because I want to inform you about lions.
  3. 3. Who am I  The lions roar can be herd 5 miles away.Both male and femaleʼs.They can get mad fast so do not bug them. It includes fatal fights with other lions. 15 lions are in a pride.A pride is a pack of lions finding food together. A lion can go 50 m.p.h. for a short distance.
  4. 4. The Early years  The baby lion is called a cub. Cubs come in small litters with 2 to 5 babies. Lioness can baby sit other cubs. Lionesses give birth every 2 years. A lot of lionesses keep the babys until the cubs are 4.
  5. 5. Habitat sweet Habitat  The lionʼs habitat is the grassland. They live in the grassland because they have camelish. They have camelish because of the color.
  6. 6. Whats on the menu  The lion has a lot on the menu. It has wildebeest,impala,the most odveus one is the zebra,giraffe,buffalo,an d wild hog.They sometimes eat rhinos and hippos. They also feed on smaller animals such as hares,birds, and reptiles. They are also known to attack elephants.
  7. 7. Making tracks  The tracks of a lion looks a lot like other predators tracks. It is like the cheetahs,foxes,and bears. The tiger has the most alike tracks. The tracks are found in Africa,India,and Madagascar.
  8. 8. Simply Irresistible  The lion is the largest carnivore on Earth. The lion is only active 2 to 4 hours a day. There are 6 males in a pride.
  9. 9. Were in the world?  They live in North Africa,India,And North Madagascar. They live there because of grasslands.
  10. 10. Did you know and fun fact  The lions scientific name is Panthera leo. The females split up when hunting. Most of the hunting is done by female.
