At a Masterclass on Governance and Anti Corruption at the University of Passau, October 2009, LMG Emerge - in cooperation with Margaret Rose, president of TTTI (chapter of Transparency Trinidad & Tobago) and director of the Caribbean Procurement Institute - presented a paper on the linkage between economic growth, good governance and globalization. An important topic for Emerging and Frontier Markets.

Our finding: in a globalized world good governance will not automatically lead to improved economic growth. The growth story is more complicated. However, it will have a positive effect on country and investment risk.

Our work is closely related to earlier work done by Rogoff, Prasad c.s. We uploaded that paper as well for your convenience.

  • We are happy with SlideShare's decision to showcase this presentation on its Finance page. I think that it is indicative of the growing interest in international governance and anti-corruption issues.
