    • 3. Cell phone companies didn’t add texting until the 1990s
    • 4. Originally there was a 20 character limit
    • 5. Texting wasn’t popular due to the lack of way to price it.
    • 6. Texting rose after the year 2000
  • In the United States and its territories alone there are:
    • 302.9 million cell phone users
    • 7. 2.2 trillion spent talking annually
    • 8. 187.7 billion texts monthly
    • 9. 2.1 trillion texts annually
