What is PMF about?<br />Planning my Future aims to engage students in their learning and career path planning by providing a framework for whole school organisation and participation. <br />How can PMF work?<br />Streamlining teams in schools<br />Justifying purpose of various teams<br />Overuse of teachers (the enthusiastic ones)<br />What might the benefit be for my school?<br />School management enhancement<br />Possible partnerships with business, other schools and the potential development of successful school communities.<br />Initiative Overview<br />

A Career & Transition School Coordination team- this might entail a realignment of existing school teams; Schools need to ask themselves:<br />Why was each team formed?<br />Which staff members are involved?<br />Does the team have an aim and how is that aim reflected in the schools management plan?<br />Is the team representative of all school areas?<br />What part of the student body is targeted by this team?<br />How does the team evaluate its success and are team findings utilised in developing management plans?<br />Implementation Ideas?<br />

School Clusters- groups of high schools working together to develop strategies that address the needs of a targeted group of students.<br />School Communities- Formation and/or enhancement of strategies across school communities that develop the ‘whole’ student.<br />Kurri Kurri Learning Community<br />The potential for the development of formalised partnerships is underpinning to PMF.<br />Teacher professional development is also a key to the success of this initiative.<br />Other Ideas<br />
