  • 2. 1. INVOLVEMENT Translating mission + vision into tangible user experiences requires involvement from business, design and technology. The best product design happens when everybody is involved.
  • 3. BUSINESS DESIGN TECHNOLOGY
  • 4. 2. DESIGN IS NOT AN AFTERTHOUGHT Too often, design is a visual layer added on top in the end. Design is not just about how your product looks & feels, it’s about how your product works.
  • 5. 90% of startups are managed by business people and technical experts, lacking design thinking expertise.
  • 6. 3. CONTENT MANAGEMENT MATTERS Integrating content is where most projects break. Don’t start designing without real content, and fuck lorem ipsum. Content management should be a focus point on it’s own.
  • 7. 4. DESIGN LEADS, TECHNOLOGY INFORMS Include design thinking throughout the entire development process, in order to deliver inspiring product experiences. A product designer takes the lead by inspiring product owners and guiding visual & technical experts into innovative directions.
  • 8. 5. KEEP ASKING WHY Ask yourself ‘why’ 5 times more every day. You will be working on the same product for a long time. Never take stuff for granted and learn to ask why. Challenge the status quo.
