2. What is Skype
Skype is a software application that allows users
to make telephone calls over the Internet. Calls to
other users of the service, are free while calls to
other landlines and mobile phones can be made
for a fee. Additional features include instant
messaging, ﬁle transfer and video conferencing.
5. Adding contacts.
Be careful when adding contacts.
Narrow your search.
Make sure you know the person before
accepting their friend request.
6. Instant Message.
Click on your contact and then on the IM icon.
Type your message. When you press return the
message will be displayed on the top screen. This
is where you can view your discussion.
You can also invite others to your discussion.
7. Audio Calls.
You and your contact must have a
Open discussion so anyone can hear.
Click on contact then on phone.
