  • 1. GLACIERS AND ROCK FORMATIONS By: Bayan Waters
  • 2. WHAT ARE GLACIERS
    • Glaciers are tons of ice and natural debris sliding down mountains over millions of years.
    • The glacier slides down the hill by its own natural weight.
  • 3. Pictures of Glaciers
    • Here are a few glaciers I found in Switzerland:
  • 4.
  • 5.
  • 6. ROCK FORMATIONS
    • Most rock formations are eroded into the side of a mountain by hydraulic action and corrosion.
    • Other times they are eroded by wind.
  • 7. Pictrues of Rock Formations
    • Here are a few rock formations I found in Switzerland:
  • 8.
  • 9. The half Glacier half Rock Mountain
    • This is probably the most interesting mountain ever. It’s half glacier half rock half African and half Swiss. Can you guess which mountain it is?
  • 10.
    • If you said Matterhorn you’re correct.
