For the past 2 years, I have taught medical transcription and business software applications (Microsoft Office 2007) at Flagler Technical Center in Palm Coast, Florida

I have experience using the most technically-advanced methods regarding;

curriculum design (DACUM and ADDIE).

lesson planning (Rubric, case studies, problem-solving).

assessment and evaluation (rating scale, checklist, written and performance testing).

classroom management (organization, time management).

instruction delivery (pragmatic humanist philosophy).

Class trip to BOS Workshop AHDI Jacksonville Chapter I organized a class trip for the Flagler Technical Center students from medical transcription class. This is the Book of Style Workshop given by AHDI with the author of the Book of Styles as the presenter. I wrote an article for the AHDI newsletter regarding our experience.

Wiki Word Project Document Repository

On this page in the BSA1 Wiki, the students can open files and print from home (saving paper for the school), check instructions on the project, or open any other necessary files for the assignment

Wiki Outlook Project Document Repository

Outlook 2007 requires more of a performance assessment. After giving a lecture, group discussion and hands-on practice, the students were asked to go to the Wiki for their project assignments.

On the Wiki, I provided the students with the projects, links, and the rating scale for the assignments.

Wiki PowerPoint Document Repository

On this Wiki page, I provided the students with a Rubric, storyboard form, and short PowerPoint documents along with the instructions for their projects.

SUMMARY

My experience at Flagler Technical Center along with my University of Central Florida Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Education and Industry Training has allowed me to excel in terms of educational technology, methods, and delivery of the most up-to-date trends in business and education.
