Gorodki is a national Russian sports game. It’s purpose is knocking-out of sticks from certain distances from a square, the so-called "city", five small towns, that is — cylindrical chocks, in the form of various figures. The game exists for more than two centuries. It’s history began in the XIX-th century. The game appeared in small towns, got rules to the beginning of a XIX-th century and extended over all Russia. Game occurrence in small towns should be carried to the middle or to first half of XVIII-th century. This game has arisen in a thick of Russian people and has extended both among peasantry, and among city dwellers. About the game :
Game essence — throwing of bats to beat out from the "city" serially certain quantity of the figures made of 5 small towns — cylindrical columns made from birch or linden. The main task is to spend for knocking-out of 15 figures as less throws as possible. According the results of three rounds wins the team(or the person) who uses less attempts. Rules :
