The Foot With A Bullet (Point)
@anthonybaxter
a meta-talk
may contain half-baked ideas
a boring talk is a bad talk
what makes a talk boring?
traditional slides don’t help
slides != paper
it's a “talk”, not a “reading”
● reading the bullet points -> not paying
attention to your talk
● fast or impatient readers will be reading

● audience gets bored
– they can see what you're going to say
– they know they can drift off for a while
● if you absolutely must do slides in this
format, don't just read the bullet points
out
