further extend my
business plan. I want
to show people where
I plan to put my
business, and how I
plan to construct the
layout of my business.

4. My trade area was the small
area colored in yellow. The
trade area is the area
surrounding my business,
and where people would
physically see my business
operating. Typically people
who travel through my trade
area would notice my
business.
A Trade Area is the
geographic region in which a
good or service is available
and from which a company
generates most of its sales.
5. The advantage of the area
I have chosen is that
there are very few if any
people in this area
owning and operating a
recording studio. So
therefor I have very little
competitors which can
lead to more business in
this area.
6. My business is very close to
where most of the traffic in
this area goes thru this area.
However this can be a good
thing and a bad thing. The
good thing about it is that
my business is in the open
where many people would
see it, but the bad thing is
that because there is so
much traffic it could affect
how many people actually
come.
7. The potential customers for
my business is pretty simple,
because I do not have any
competitors in this area. So
therefor my potential
customers are all the people
who live in and around the
trade area. I want to try to
draw in most of my
customers from within a 15
to 20 miles range from my
business.
8. As shown in purple
my house is on
Goode road, and I
feel very confident
about this, because I
live in the same area
that I am trying to
draw customers.
9. My route to work is
shown in orange, and
you can see it is fairly
close to my business.
It will take an
estimated time of 5
to 10 minutes to get
to work.
