  2. 2. Run through a deployment (don't try to keep up!) ● Virtualbox setup ● Setup of master LAVA server ● Remote worker installation ○ Create a Qemu device ○ Submitting job ● Deploying a real board ● Using a PDU in a lab Workshop Overview
  3. 3. Requirements for attendees Hardware: ● Laptop with 4GB of RAM with processor virtualization support (e.g. Intel VT-x or AMD-V) Software ● Virtualbox 4.2 installed (latest is best) ● For Windows users: putty
  4. 4. ● Virtualbox VM images http://tinyurl.com/lavalabvms ● Instructions http://tinyurl.com/lavalabdoc We have a small amount of Flash drives available containing the images, paper instructions available Resources

Deploying a board in a lab Create a device configuration file ● Set a device type device_type = beaglebone-black ● Configure the serial connection connection_command = cu -l /dev/ttyUSB0 -s 115200 ● Configure the PDU connection hard_reset_command = /usr/scripts/pdu-reboot pdu01 08 Commands are executed on the shell, they can be anything you can run (as root)
