INTRODUCTION
This assignment evaluates oral presentation and speaking skills. It also evaluates the
student’s ability to research information and present an effective presentation of his/her
research. In addition, being a group assignment, each student will experience
cooperating and collaborating with other peers as a team with a common goal.
Referencing:
All persons, books and other sources of information are to be referenced in accordance with the
APA Style.
OBJECTIVES OF THIS ASSIGNMENT
The objectives of this project are as follows:
 To demonstrate the principles of communication and behaviour in analyzing interaction with others,
both at individual and at group levels.
LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THIS ASSIGNMENT
The learning outcomes of this assignment are:
 Apply the principles of communication and behaviour in analyzing interaction with others, both at
individual and at group levels.
 To be aware of the importance of cultural differences and respect cultural differences as well as to
build healthy and positive relationships with fellow students, co-workers and clients.
 To communicate the relevant ideas in a clear, logical and appropriate academic English.

c. Types of ornamentation used
d. Type of materials used
e. Other relevant information

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENT
You are required to choose ONE traditional home OR ONE religious building of
your choice and describe all the five aspects mentioned above.
1. You must research the topic that you choose and prepare an oral presentation
for about 6 – 10 minutes.
2. You are required to provide detailed referencing and citation for this submission.
3. You must submit the following on 19th
January, 2015 (Monday class) and 22nd
January, 2015 (Thursday class).
i. A softcopy and hardcopy of your PowerPoint presentation (including
images) and any audio-visual material that you will be using for your
presentation.
ii. The PowerPoint presentation must be clearly labelled with the name
of the assignment.
iii. Cover page (follow the attached format)

LO As per stated in the module 20% Oral Presentation Week 16 INTRODUCTION This assignment evaluates oral presentation and speaking skills. It also evaluates the student’s ability to research information and present an effective presentation of his/her research. In addition, being a group assignment, each student will experience cooperating and collaborating with other peers as a team with a common goal. LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THIS ASSIGNMENT The learning outcomes of this assignment are:  Apply the principles of communication and behaviour in analyzing interaction with others, both at individual and at group levels.  To be aware of the importance of cultural differences and respect cultural differences as well as to build healthy and positive relationships with fellow students, co-workers and clients.  To communicate the relevant ideas in a clear, logical and appropriate academic English.
