Slide 3: About Operativo Esperanza In partnership with HOLA (Hispanic Organization for Leadership & Achievement), Johnson & Johnson Contributions, and local government and healthcare organizations, Operativo Esperanza (Operation Hope) brings healthcare, education and resources to disadvantaged communities of Colombia.

Slide 4: About “Operation Hope” Baru- Colombia Week of March 5th, Baru- Colombia About Barú: It’s a small island 40 minutes from the city of Cartagena, located on the north Atlantic coast of Colombia. Operation Hope served a community of ~8,000. J&J’s Contribution: • (Manpower) Volunteers • Educational Workshops • Medical Attention (OB/GYN) • Product Donations

Slide 5: Results! MEDICAL ATTENTION • Dentist: 198 patients • General Medicine & Peds: 938 • Vaccines: 360 • Dental Higine: 442 • OB/GYN (Teens): 135 • OB/GYN (Adults): 68 pacientes, • P.T: 25 WORKSHOPS • Mental Health: ~100 • Life Project: ~60 • 7 Mom/ Baby Workshops: ~200 • Women’s Development (Teens): ~60

Slide 7: Health Brigade – Continuity– Artisans Support Made connections with various Colombian foundations to continue initiative in the region •Next steps include: •TRAINING: Arranging technical workshops for artisans •LOGISTICS & PRODUCTION: Setting up internal distribution network •EXPORT: Begin social marketing program with US locations (J&J PILOT)

Slide 8: Get Involved! YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE TOO! We will need Volunteers to support the sale of Hand-made jewelry from Baru. Tables will be setup in May at various J&J Campuses $$$ in support of the artisans of Baru!
