3. Start with Saying hello/hello how are you?
喂/喂你好。
Then introduce yourself by saying: 我是
____
Ask who you want to talk to by saying Can
I speak to __: 我可以和 ____讲话吗？
• Or by saying I’m looking for ___: 我找____.
You can also say is the person there?:
Shane 在不在?
4. If the person on the other line wants you to
hold on they will say: 请稍等.
If the person you are looking for isn’t there
then they will say: 他/她不在.
To take a message you would say: 我可以
留言吗？
If you want to call someone back you
would say: 我稍候打回来。
