Why Social Media Is Important<br />Do you want to be on the first page of a Google Search or the 15th page of a Google Search?<br />When you appear on the first page of a Google Search, we say you have Search Engine Optimization (SEO). You want<br />your business to come up<br />near the top of the list<br />like Pho Hoafor two <br />reasons:<br />Easy for customer<br />Instills confidence<br />Even if you have good <br />content , but are on page<br />15, your customer doesn’t<br />automatically trust it <br />because it’s lower in the <br />search.<br />Note that this first listing <br />for Pho Hoa isn’t their <br />website. It only<br />takes a few minutes to complete the profile, but as you can see here, again Pho Hoa comes<br />up at the top because they have a Google Places listing.<br />

Here<br />you can see how many <br />people have “checked-in”<br />to the restaurant.<br />A business Facebook page<br />gives your customer<br />information, and a place<br />to connect with your <br />business even prior to <br />purchasing.<br />

Your followers <br />choose to get your information <br />because they find it valuable.<br />They then share it with their <br />network. It’s exposure for small<br />businesses<br />
