Le concept fictionnel de la fabrication de tissus humains se rapproche peu à peu de la réalité. Ainsi, il est aujourd'hui possible de créer des matrices osseuses à façon par impression 3D. La conception d’implants chirurgicaux biocompatibles « sur mesure » entre dans le cadre du développement de la médecine personnalisée pour répondre aux besoins de patients nécessitant une greffe osseuse. Après implantation, ces matrices se colonisent et créent de l'os naturel, vivant et fonctionnel.
Le projet PowdPrint, débuté en septembre 2019, est issu d’un appel WALInnov dans le cadre du « Plan Marshall 4.0 ». Il est le fruit de la collaboration entre le groupe de recherche universitaire ULiège-GreenMAT et la PME wallonne Cerhum, spécialisée dans la réalisation de produits complexes et innovants fabriqués par impression 3D. Cette PME, fondée en octobre 2015, a pour domaine d'activités principal l'impression en 3D de pièces en biocéramiques principalement pour une application biomédicale.
Grégory Nolens (Directeur Général et CSO de Cerhum) et Frédéric Boschini (responsable R&D poudres au sein du laboratoire GreenMAT-ULiège) vous exposeront les résultats thérapeutiques des matrices MyBone de Cerhum, ainsi que les coulisses de son développement effectué en collaboration avec le GreenMAT au travers du projet PowdPrint.
Cette rencontre-conférence permettra également de découvrir la plus-value de l'ingénierie des poudres au service de l'industrie biopharmaceutique.

• Post-op 6 months: “On the CT scan, I can definitely see osseointegration around the MyBone graft. Even
around the screw that fixes the graft. You can only see the osseointegration at the edges where it connects
to the bone; you can see that the bone has more contact with the graft than in the scan from immediately
one day post-op. You can also see layers of new bone formation, so it has been proven that the material
