  2. 2. Introduction <ul><li>It is important to spent time with each member of a team to verify if they were all fully aware of their position and challenges inside the company. </li></ul>
  3. 3. Top Priorities <ul><li>A nice way to verify the team awareness regarding their roles and goals is to prepare a list of their top priorities. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Top Priorities Evaluation <ul><li>After doing that it is important to ask three questions: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>1) Which of these priorities do you think will have greatest impact for our firm? </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>2) Which of these priorities interests you the most? </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>3) Which of these priorities are you most likely to be successful with? </li></ul></ul>
  5. 5. Top Priorities Important <ul><li>In asking these questions, we can realize how close or far is your team from your Company goals and challenges. </li></ul>
  6. 6. Company Goals Strategy <ul><li>If the answers are not aligned, you can correct this with three principles: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Communication, </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Confidence, </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>and Aligning Interests. </li></ul></ul>

First Strategy Communication <ul><li>It is important to consistently inform the top three-to-five priorities for the firm and make sure people get it. </li></ul><ul><li>A starting point is asking people to reshape what they plan to do each week, month and year into goals that match those top buckets. </li></ul>

Second Strategy Confidence <ul><li>Promote confidence in people. </li></ul><ul><li>Don't avoid talking about failure among your team. </li></ul><ul><li>Tell them about the importance and willingness to take risks. </li></ul><ul><li>Be aware that accepting and learning from failure is a key to building confidence. </li></ul>
  9. 9. Third Strategy Aligning Interests <ul><li>Align interests to responsibilities where possible. </li></ul><ul><li>Know the core interests of your top employees. </li></ul><ul><li>What naturally drives someone and what is innately rewarding to them is so powerful. </li></ul>
  10. 10. Third Strategy Aligning Interests <ul><li>As a leader, it's your job to identify those interests and channel that employee's intensity to the right priority to create a frictionless output opportunity. </li></ul>

Strategy 03-Set Plan <ul><li>Step one: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>get the right focus and relentlessly communicate it. </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Step two: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>align the priorities to areas. </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Step three: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>build employee confidence and exploit natural interests. Result: happier, harder working, and more loyal employees. </li></ul></ul>
