  • 17. Mountain Ranges You may have thought the deserts were flat… YOU THOUGHT WRONG! The Atlas Mountains are located near the Mediterranean Coast. The Sahara Desert also has sand dunes that reach 1000 feet.

    • Desert - dry and hot
    • 2. Mediterranean - hot, dry summers and cold,wet winters
    • 3. Steppe - dry, tropical, and a short wet season
