Abi's Washington, D.C. Presentation

  1. 1.  D.C is our nations capitol!  It was founded when Washington became president.  D.C was named after our first president George Washington.  Many presidents are remembered there.
  2. 2.  Washington Memorial- It represents our 1st president George Washington, and stands 555ft tall!  The Lincoln Memorial- Represents our 16th presidents Abraham Lincoln!  The Jefferson Memorial- Represents our 3rd president Thomas Jefferson.  The Tomb of the unknown soldier- The Bodies that were found in world war I and could not be identified.
  3. 3.  Tomb of the unknown soldier- It represents the bodies that were found and could not be identified in world war I and II, Korean war, and Vietnam war.  The White house is where our president lives.  The Capitol Building is where Senate and the House of representatives work. There are many places to visit in Washington D.C!
  4. 4.  George Washington- He was the First president of the United States  Abraham Lincoln  Thomas Jefferson- He wrote the Declaration of Independence  Barrack Obama- He is our 44th president, he was elected president in 2008.
  5. 5.  They are filled with educational artifacts  Tons of people visit them everyday  There are tons of the museums in the world!!!  The Hope diamond is in the Natural history museum- Measures over 112 karats!!
