  2. 2. Program Highlights<br /><ul><li>The library renewed their subscriptions to the following resources: ABC-CLIO, Global Issues in Context, Opposing Viewpoints, SIRS, and Noodletools.
  3. 3. Through the Washington State libraries, we will continue provide Culturegrams, elibrary, World Conflicts Today, and Proquest.
  4. 4. Teen Health and Wellness is our newest subscription.
  5. 5. The library was awarded The Supporting Student Success Initiative seeks to improve students' ability to effectively complete Social Studies CBA requirements.(in our case, The Causes of Conflict Classroom Based Assessment Project) The Auburn Riverside High School Library and US history teachers, along with the Algona Pacific and Auburn Branches of the King County Library System, will plan and implement the CBA project. Students will have access to both primary and secondary resources while utilizing guides and tools created by the team to assist students through the research process and the final presentation of their paper or presentation. Grant funds will provide substitutes for staff planning days, a local speaker, and a portable museum kit from MOHAI on “The Recent Years 1945 to 1990”</li></li></ul><li>Worked with the Orientation teachers to teach library orientation to the 9th grade class<br />ARHS Book Club held their first meeting of the year. Students elected officers and chose their October read choice.<br />Created additional resource lists of popular reads by topic on the Destiny catalog with the intent to connect students with books. Currently, these books are on display through out the library.<br />The library hosted a site visit with Dave Reichert organized by Cathy deJong. The event provided Dave with a direct experience of speaking with educators on the topic of ESEA/NCLB in a respectful, thoughtful manner while sharing comments, concerns and ideas to improve public education for all of our students.<br />Program Highlights<br />
