  • John F. Kennedy, the thirty-fifth President of the United States, was assassinated at 12:30 p.m. Central Standard Time on Friday, November 22, 1963, in Dealey Plaza, Dallas, Texas. Kennedy was fatally shot while traveling with his wife Jacqueline, Texas governor John Connally, and the latter's wife, Nellie, in a Presidential motorcade. The the Warren Commission concluded that the President was assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald acting alone.
  • While hundreds witnessed the assassination, no one saw the actual shooter. The best photographic evidence of the assassination was captured by Abraham Zapruder, a 57 year-old clothing manufactuerer, who captured the assassination on his model 414 PD bell camera. These 26 seconds have become the most analyzed segment of film in American history.
  • Only hours after JFK was killed, Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested by Dallas police at a theater. Oswald had training as a marksman in the marine corps and was known to be a good shot.
  • Two days later oswald was shot on live tv by jack ruby, a dallas nightclub owner.
  • On november 27, 1963, 5 days after jfk was assasinated, the Warren Commission was convened to investigate the assassination.
  • After almost a year of investigation, the commission concluded that lee harvey oswald acted alone, that there were 3 shots fired, and that there was evidence from experts that indicated that the same bullet which pierced the President's throat also caused Governor Connally's wounds.
  • Since it ’s publication the warren commission has been highly controversial for this finding. Conspiracy theories abound, but the most roundly criticized finding of the commission was that a single bullet from oswald’s gun could have passed through both kennedy and connolly only to be found mostly intact on connolly’s stretcher later at Parkland Hospital.

  • This finding has been dubbed the Single bullet theory or the magic bullet theory.
  • Now, it was established by trace metal analysis that there were three different bullets recovered. The 1 st bullet missed.
  • The third bullet hit kennedy in the head and killed him.
  • That leaves the 2 nd bullet. In addition to the head wound that killed him, kennedy was also shot from the back trhough the neck. Connolly was shot just under the armpit with exit wound just below his right nipple. His wrist was nicked and his left thigh was hit. Just to review that is 15 layers of clothing, 7 layers of skin, approximately 15 inches of tissue, a necktie knot, 4 inches of rib, and a radius bone. According to the Warren commission all this damage was inflicted by just one bullet; the 2 nd bullet.
  • The warren report claimed that this bullet shot kennedy through the neck, went into connallys back near his armpit and exited by his nipple, struck his wrist and embedded in his thigh.
  • Many conspiriacy theorists are skeptic of this seemingly impossible trajectory, just for its complicated flight path, and the very little damage done to the bullet.
  • The main reason these theories are wrong, is that they do not take into account the seating postitions of gov. connally and pres. Kennedy.
  • Most theorys believe that connally was sitting directly infront of kennedy, facing foreward
  • In reality, the warren report found that connally was sitting 6 inches to kennedy ’s left and was turning to his right with his wrist raised, holding his hat. He was also slightly below kennedy, making the original trajectory possible.
  • If seen from the 6 th floor of the book depository, the alignment of kennedy and connally would have looked much like this.
  • But how did the bullet go through 15 layers of clothing, 7 layers of skin, approximately 15 inches of tissue, a necktie knot, 4 inches of rib, and a radius bone, without so little damage? This is the question many conspiracy theorists ask
  • However, what many theorists don ’t know, is that the government and military were developing a bullet that could withstand damage significantly. In studies, this bullet had been fired through a thick tree trunk, withstanding damages no more than the flattened end and firing marks, such as present on the magic bullet. This was the bullet that lho used in the assasination of president kennedy. Ballistic studies done on this type of bullet have proved that this bullet can withstand significant damage, even 15 layers of clothing, 7 layers of skin, approximately 15 inches of tissue, a necktie knot, 4 inches of rib, and a radius bone. This evidence, makes only the slight damage withstood by the bullet very possible.
  • Its hard to offer a definitive answer to what exactly happened at delany plaza on november 22, 1963, however, based on significant scientific and ballistic evidence, we believe that the magic bullet theory originally established by the warren commision, is possible.
