label has specifically focused on rock and pop genres. Island records has been
focused in the uk for a long period of time and only recently moved across to the
us. They have worked with artists such as Bob Dylan, Bob Marley and Mcfly.
2. Fuelled by Ramen are a recently new record label made by John Janick in 1996,
and is targeted towards the rock/grunge target audience.. The subsidiary group
to warner music is based in new York and considers itself one of the leading
epicentres of the Emo/Pop music movement. Bands and artist’s include Panic at
the Disco, Paramore and Punchline.
3. Sony BMG is a music group which is a tied union between the Sony
corporation and businessman Bertelsmann AG. Founded in 2004, Sony
BMG has produced music from various genres and is located in New
York. It has produced records for bands such as Busted.
