STARS Overview
STARS is a secure online environment dedicated to supporting transcription requests that contain sensitive or proprietary data.
Clients are issued unique authentication credentials for secure access into the STARS portal.

Transcription requests are facilitated using the STARS web portal.
The portal allows LegaLock’s customers to create transcription requests and submit them to Legalock for processing.

To access the STARS portal:
Open Internet Explorer
Enter the web address – legalock.fismaweb.com
NOTE: Upon connection to the Legalock Information System you will be automatically converted to a secure HTTPS environment and all your communications with the system will be encrypted.

STARS login

To login, enter the User Login ID and Password assigned to you during user setup.
NOTE: During your first login, you must create security questions and responses to ensure user authentication for future login attempts.

Navigating the STARS Home Page

Search Criteria
Completion TImes – creates deadline alerts.
Date Range Filter
Job Type Filter
Shows Current User
Search button triggers the search.
Click here to start a new request.
Click on “Request ID” to review details of each completed transcript.
Click on each “Search Request” column to sort .
Clicking on the same column again will change the sort order
from ascending to descending.

New Job Requests
The Request Name will appear on STARS reports and lists on your Home Screen
Notes written by clients can explain difficult terms or phrases to ensure accuracy.
Browse computer or digital voice recorder to locate audio files for upload.
Describe file contents.
Click to attach and upload selected file(s).
Remove incorrect file(s).
Save requests for future access and changes. Does NOT send request to LegaLock
Submit audio files to LegaLock. Starts request.
Click here to return to the previous screen WITHOUT saving changes.
Click here to cancel and start over.

Request Page Overview
This page provides Clients with all basic information contained in a request.
Alerts everyone to required turnaround time.
This section allows Clients to read all saved.
This section identifies each file (audio or text associated with this request.
Name of each person assigned a task to complete this request.
This section allows Clients to review all completed actions for this request.

Close request and return to the Search Results screen.
Click here to scroll between previous or next requests.
Add notes to request page.
Extends the date attached files are purged from the server to 90 days from today.
Clients click on File Name to download and receive completed transcripts.
Type notes here to clarify details after a transcript has been created.

Navigating STARS Home Page
Orange highlights active page.
Address Managementallows adding, changing, removing firm address information.
Reset Password allows Users to update required password and security questions.
Logout from STARS.
Reports directs Admin to a menu for avariety of account activity reports.
User Management allows Admin to:
Add, deactivate, reset Users.
Revise contact information.
Set/reset temporary user passwords, as required.
The Client’s Administrative Home Page is used to control your authorized user accounts.
The Client Administrator controls who has access to files, can run reports, and also set and reset forgotten passwords.
