COMPANY HISTORY
Attorneys Frank D. Edens and Lem Adams, III, incorporated USLF in August of 1999. Company
President and CEO Frank D. Edens developed the USLF concept based on early successes the
founders had with Internet ventures geared toward the legal profession.
Prior to the formation of USLF, Frank D. Edens and Lem Adams owned LawNetCom, Inc. (LNC).
In 1995, LNC began operations by constructing and maintaining the Mississippi Supreme Court’s
first website. LNC developed a system for the Court to publish its decisions, court rules, and other
administrative information on the Internet. LNC also contracted with the Mississippi Bar,
Mississippi Administrative Office of Courts and the University of Mississippi CLE Center to assist
with development of Internet resources for the Mississippi legal community. LNC also developed
MSlawyer.com, a website containing more than 25 legal databases and over 300 subscribers to
various services offered. With a focus on wanting to serve national legal needs, Edens and Adams
sold LNC and MSlawyer.com in 2002 to devote their efforts to U.S. Legal Forms, Inc.
One aspect of LNC which the founders kept was the Internet website MSlegalforms.com. The
website contains more than 3,000 Mississippi legal forms and operates on a subscription basis.
Keeping with their focus of serving national legal needs, in early 1998, Edens and Adams expand-
ed the MSlegalforms.com concept and formed U.S. Legal Forms, Inc. USLF offers more than
36,000 state specific legal forms for attorneys and the public. The Company has expanded its
growth from year to year through increased sales and strategic partnerships and alliances in the
legal, media, and corporate arenas.

U.S. Legal Forms, Inc. Operates Largest Legal Forms Database on the Internet
BRANDON, MS — With more than 36,000 state specific forms in its database,
U.S. Legal Forms, Inc. headquartered in Brandon is fast becoming the leader in providing legal forms over
the Internet.
“No other company really compares,” says CEO Frank Edens. “We are offering state specific legal
documents for all 50 states to attorneys, small businesses, and the public. Those who use our website find
that they can also get free previews and free law summaries.”
As more Internet users discover the availability of its extensive database, the company is continuing a
steady growth in sales. U.S. Legal Forms reports sales went up 30% in the first quarter of 2004.
U.S. Legal Forms is located on the web at http://www.uslegalforms.com. The website includes access
to legal forms which conform to the specific laws of each state in the nation. For the state of Mississippi
alone, it provides more than 3,000 legal forms. Some of the most popular forms currently being
downloaded are wills, power of attorney, and landlord tenant agreements. Users may download the forms
in a Microsoft Word format after they place their order.
“You don’t have to re-invent the wheel every time you need to use a legal form,” says Edens. “We provide
our customers quality samples to go by. They save time and money.”
Attorneys Lem Adams, III and Frank D. Edens founded U.S. Legal Forms in 1999. Both are members of
the law firm Adams & Edens in Brandon, MS. In 1995, the partners formed LawNetCom, Inc., (LNC), a
company that provided legal information for Mississippi lawyers and the public. LNC also constructed the
initial websites of the Mississippi Supreme Court and the Mississippi Bar, as well as held seminars for the
legal profession to teach them how to use the Internet. It was this initial work that got Edens thinking
about the idea for a company that has now evolved into U.S. Legal Forms.
“We were exposed to the Internet early, and quickly realized that the Mississippi legal profession and
public could benefit from what we were initiating. We are glad they see the merit in our product,” says
Edens.
When it began, U.S. Legal Forms only had two employees and rented space from Adams & Edens law
firm. The company now has more than 25 employees and is relocating its headquarters to a 27,000 square
foot office building in Flowood.
