    • And fear that Social Media inside the enterprise will lead to Chaos in The Kitchen.
    • But fear can lead to too much control and a barrier to innovation.
    • How do you achieve Balance?
    • First, understand that Social Media is already inside your organization.
    • Customer Interaction Your employees are already using Social Media to interact with your customers.
    • Customer Interaction • Get your 1.0 in shape before you think about 2.0. • Understand that social media is not a strategy. • Get everybody together in the same room. • Create a social media policy and guidelines. • Include the do’s as well as the dont’s. • Find the people who are already participating and empower them. • Set up your listening apparatus. Listen until you understand. • Integrate social media; don't think of it as a separate discipline. • Lead by example. • Share best practices, both internally and externally.
    • Enterprise Collaboration Your employees are already using Social Media to interact with each other.
    • Enterprise Collaboration •Ditto for all “Customer Interaction” points •There are no technical barriers keeping your employees from setting up their own collaboration tools, completely by-passing IT •Allowing independent, ad hoc collaboration misses the value of enterprise wide collaboration •A “Culture of Collaboration” is Key to Success •Collaboration can enhance: • Recruiting • Education • Workforce Management • Innovation • Risk Management • Engagement
