Slide 1: Re-Imagine The Organization With Social Media

Slide 2: Re-Imagine HR R&D Manufacturing Finance Sales Legal oh yeah, Marketing too.

Slide 3: All of these functions have one key element in common...

Slide 4: Decision Making

Slide 5: Decision Making is simple, it has two parts:

Slide 6: Gathering and Choosing

Slide 7: Choosing belongs to the one accountable for the outcome. Same as always, no change 1 here. 1  Choosing is not a democratic process!

Slide 8: Gathering, on the other hand is a brand new ball game...

Slide 9: Gathering is a function of how information flows in to, out of and through an organization.

Slide 10: Traditionally organizations have tried to control these information flows.

Slide 11: That time has passed!

Slide 12: The Internet, in general, and Social Media, in particular, are circumventing traditional structures and processes.

Slide 13: The gathering process can no longer be limited to "what the executive team knows", or "what the brand team knows".

Slide 14: The gathering process now has to focus on "what the stakeholders know"!

Slide 15: Decision makers need to give stakeholders a voice in the decision process...

Slide 16: ...and that voice cannot be controlled.

Slide 17: For most organizations this means new behaviors, new structures and new processes.

Slide 18: Now is the time to Re-Imagine the Organization.
