  • 1. EVERTON PARK STATE SCHOOL P&C Formed February 1953. Registered under the "Charitable Collections Art of 1952 working together for our Deakin St, EVERTON PARK QLD 4053 children's future ABN: 24 392 685 811 8 February 2010 Dear Parents We apologise for not getting these documents out to you earlier in the school year. However, we're so pleased to welcome all the new families to our school and welcome back all our existing families for another school year. The next few weeks are pretty big for the P&C as we welcome new members, elect a new committee (at the Annual General Meeting), and of course, we start planning for an exciting year of activities. If you haven't heard yet, this year is our fete year. On Sunday the 25th July we will be holding our bi-annual fete with the theme "Christmas in July". Put aside this date and listen for updates in the next coming weeks and months. Please find attached a number of documents relating to the P&C, including - • An "about us" flyer outlining what we do, who we are, the roles of the executive. • The Annual General Meeting Agenda & 2010 P&C Membership Form • The Voluntary Family Contribution notice • Term 1 & 2 School Calendar Most importanly, our meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of each month (our first is on the 15th February), except on school holidays and public holidays (yes - we meet on Student Free Days). In February we also hold our Annual General meeting (on the 22nd February). All meetings are in the library and start at 7.30pm. Everyone is welcome to attend. You don't have to be a member to come along and participate. Importantly, this year will see the transition of many existing families (and P&C volunteers) moving on to high school. We desperately need new members from new families coming into the school. Its important that we are able to start "handing over" some of the knowledge that we have. Take time to read all the documents attached. You can find a bit more information on the Unofficial P&C Blog at Most P&C documents will also be available from here too. We look forward to meeting you all. Yours faithfully Leesa Watego Minutes Secretary
