SYSTEMS OF INEQUALITIES A system of equations consists of two or more equations A system of inequalities consists of two or more inequalities The solution of an inequality (from chapter 2) is the shaded region of the coordinate plane The solution of a system of inequalities is the region of the graph that is shaded by BOTH individual inequalities
  • 3. SOLVING A SYSTEM OF INEQUALITIES Graphing is usually the most appropriate method  The solution is the set of all points that are solutions of both inequality in the system 1.
