    • Spending time in nature is essential to your well-being
  • Environmental Action Steps
    • What does your home/office say about you?
      • Start with your bedroom—make it a reflection of who you are
      • Next move on to your workspace and then others
    • Spend at least 15 minutes in nature each day
      • Connect to the natural seasonal rhythms
  • Personal Body
    • Ayurvedic body types
      • Vata

    • Six tastes of food
      • Sweet, sour, salty
      • Bitter, pungent, astringent
  • Healthy Eating Habits
    • Include all six tastes at every meal
    • Sit quietly while eating (no standing)
    • Eat when you are hungry (not upset)
    • Leave your stomach, at least, ¼ empty
    • Eat fresh, organic, lovingly prepared food
    • Sit for a few moments after you are finished, then take a short walk

    • Focus on eating at least one fresh food at each meal
    • Be conscious of your eating your meals—this is not a sideline activity
    • Get up a walk for a few minutes at the end of your meal
  • Energetic Body
    • Three types of exercise
      • Flexibility—stretching
      • Strength—weight bearing
      • Endurance—aerobic
    • Exercise for each body type
    • All exercise increasing your prana or life energy
  • Energetic Action Steps
    • Integrate all three forms of exercise into your weekly routines (optimally 3-4 times/week)
    • Go to bed by 10:00 p.m. arise no later than 6:00 a.m.
    • Spend a few moments each day focused on your breath—be aware of the life energy in your body
  • Your Mind
    • Place where all sensory perceptions are registered
      • Hot, cold, hungry, satisfied, etc.
    • Emotions
    • Feelings
    • Desires
  • Emotions of the Mind
    • A state of consciousness having to do with the arousal of feelings.
    • Any various complex reactions with various mental and physical reactions, such as, love, hate, joy, fear, etc.
    • Strong feelings

    • An awareness, consciousness, sensation
    • An opinion or sentiment
    • A premonition
    • An impression or emotional quality

    • A strong wish or craving
    • An asking for something—a request
    • A thing or person desired

    • You are in control—you are not a victim of your emotions, feelings and desires
    • Emotions and feelings are an indicator of your level of connectedness
      • Feelings of love and joy indicate your are balanced
    • Desires are rays you send into the future to guide your along your path
      • The better your feel about your desires the easier they are achieved
      • Deattachment is the key to unleasing the power of desire

    • Practice living in the present moment
      • All is well
    • Focus on the wholeness of all that exists in the moment
      • Accept it
    • Allow yourself to trust the power of your inner wisdom
