  • Email is something the majority of internet users know and use. This is something most of us are familiar with are fairly adept in the knowledge of the email program or site we use.
  • Domain Based: This is typically email addressed used by companies that want the email addresses on the same domain as their website. This gives a more professional image when communicating.e.g. if the website is www.website.com, the email addresses will be [user]@website.comWebmail (Web Based Email): These are email services accessed via website like Google Mail, Yahoo Mail, Windows Live Mail, etc.e.g. accounts at Google would look like this [user]@gmail.com(June 2011 Stats) Google Mail, Yahoo Mail and Windows Live Mail all appear in the Top 10 most visited sites in the USNote: domain based emails often have their own webmail aswell
  • Chain MailDelivery and Read Receipted EmailEmails containing URGENT or IMPORTANT in the subject lineHatemailVirus Hoaxes and other spam
  • Be concise and to the pointAnswer all questions and pre-empt further questionsAnswer swiftlyDo not attach unnecessary filesDo not overuse the “High Priority” optionDo not write in CAPITALSRead the email before you send itDo not overuse the “Reply to all” functionTake care when using abbreviationsUse a meaningful subjectKeep your language gender neutral
  • Define Blog: A personal website on which an individual records opinions, links to other sites, etc. on a regular basis (your own personal space on the web to do with what you want)Be sure to remember you can post whatever you want to on your blog but always proceed with caution as you do not want to create a bad name for yourself or deter people from reading your blog. Some blogs may be controversial and that is the purpose of it, under that circumstance posting controversial information would be appropriate, additionally you would more than likely not want the controversial blog with your name slapped on the front, again if you want to be known as controversial then have the blog in your nameBlogs like blogger (blogspot) and tumblr are very popular.
  • An Internet forum, or message board, is an online discussion site where people can hold conversations in the form of posted messages.[1] They differ from chat rooms in that messages are at least temporarily archived. Also, depending on the access level of a user or the forum set-up, a posted message might need to be approved by a moderator before it becomes visible.Forums have a specific set of jargon associated with them; e.g. a single conversation is called a "thread."A forum is hierarchical or tree-like in structure: a forum can contain a number of subforums, each of which may have several topics. Within a forum's topic, each new discussion started is called a thread, and can be replied to by as many people as wish to.(Wikipedia)Many People interact through forums online, these are based around specific topics where people discuss them, each individual views and shares information with others in a type of online conversation.Rules like the email guidelines are always good to follow when posting anything online. You don’t want to entice flamewars and hatespeech on a forum unless the forum is designed for debates, etc.

Youtube featuring twice (2. Youtube and 10. You tube)Explain briefly how we can “get connected” with these networks and why we would want toTwitter is just a multiplayer notepad.  ~Ben Maddox (NYU -Associate Vice President for Global Technology)Note: The email guidelines are also very useful here too as you are interacting with people and you don’t want to come across in the wrong way or irritate people.
