The biggest mistake people make when searching Google is<br />To assume that Google has access to everything. <br />The reality is that there is a lot of information available online that is not in Google.<br />They forget to evaluate what they find.<br />They assume that because something is on the front page it is the best resource.<br />
  6. 6. A few more common mistakes are:<br />Failure to rephrase the same search and to use the advanced search.<br />When using Google it is important to search multiple times using similar words and phrases. <br />

Google Scholar<br />Did you know that Google also has a scholar search engine? <br />Google Scholar offers journal articles,newspapers and other articles similar to those found in library databases. <br />However, it is best to search library databases first and then Google Scholar.<br />If Google Scholar says you have to pay, you may have free access through the library.<br />
