Emergency Communications 101<br />In the event of an emergency event or campus closing, the university uses multiple, redundant methods to communicate with our students including:<br />The TechAlert! System:<br />Voicemail, email and text<br />Updates to the following Web sites:<br />www.ttu.edu<br />www.today.ttu.edu<br />www.ttu.edu/emergency<br />Updates to our Social Media sites:<br />Twitter.com/TexasTech<br />Facebook.ttu.edu<br />

Emergency Communications 101<br /><ul><li>TechAlert</li></ul>Students are automatically enrolled with their primary phone number and eRaider email address upon registration (this could be yours!)<br />Students should sign in to the system as soon as possible to update their records using their eRaider user ID and password<br />Up to four phone numbers can be entered, with TTY/TDD for hearing impaired and Text Messaging options <br /><ul><li>TechAlert is a mass notification system, it is not an “In Case of Emergency” contact record for issues regarding individual students.</li></li></ul><li>Emergency Communications 101<br />TechAlert will only be activated in the event of a school closing or an actual campus emergency<br />Examples of Past Alerts<br />Severe Weather<br />Campus closing due to snow<br />System Tests<br />
