My Educational Philosophy <ul><li>All children should be empowered to learn and feel confident about their curiosity and engagement with the world around them </li></ul><ul><li>Incorporate a variety of learning styles allowing students to excel in areas that come naturally and challenge them to expand their comfort zones </li></ul><ul><li>Use authentic assessments including student-chosen projects </li></ul><ul><li>Incorporate technology into my lessons often </li></ul>

My Management Style <ul><li>Keeping students engaged can ward off undesired behavior problems </li></ul><ul><li>Praise positive behaviors often </li></ul><ul><li>High expectations with the support to help each student achieve and feel successful </li></ul><ul><li>Community Atmosphere--students helping each other to make good choices and caring about their classroom and school </li></ul>

Parental Involvement <ul><li>Invite parents into the classroom often and keep all lines of communication open </li></ul><ul><li>Learn about and celebrate the culture of each family--everyone has something they can share with our class! </li></ul><ul><li>Encourage parents to read with their children at home, take them to community events, and expose them to the world around us! </li></ul>
