    1. Lynette F. Clower lynetteclower@yahoo.com http://www.linkedin.com/in/lynetteclower Dear Fellow Explorer of Potentiality, My future is an expanding canvas and I eagerly stand before it with the tools needed for cultivating the masterpiece I will call my life. The question I ask of you today is; will your organization be my next skillfully applied stroke placed upon this canvas? Before you answer, let me take a moment to demonstrate my professional capabilities then elaborate how I believe a communication professional will benefit your Human Resource department. I am an aspiring Human Resource Professional with particular interests in Corporate Communication. As a degreed Communication professional experienced in fast-paced environments demanding strong organizational, technical, and interpersonal skills, I also have knowledge in but not limited to, the Social Sciences, Interviewing and Researching, and the fundamentals of Leadership Communication. My interests in Human Resource stem from my passion for developing positive employee relations while reducing redundancy and miscommunication. Not only has Corporate Communication provided me with a generalist understanding in the dimensions of communication it has also given me the know how to utilize empirical methods to study human behavior- specifically the communicative aspects of human interactions in an organizational setting. In addition, as a communication professional I have the: • Interpersonal and Global Communication skills needed to recognize barriers to both written and verbal communication then choose effective techniques to overcome them. • Communication Research skills needed to investigate and acquire desired information while maintaining a productive relationship with both internal and external stakeholders. • Interviewing Practice skills needed to consult with, analyze needs of, and articulate information to individuals concerning all areas of interest. • Leadership Communication skills needed to apply situational guidance which inspires and engages others to implement ideas and productive communication. • Presentation skills needed to organize and implement professional level symposiums, seminars and meetings for individual or group purposes. By combining my Communication degree with human resource experience I intend to obtain my long- term goal of becoming a certified Senior Professional Human Resource Generalist, however knowledge alone does not replace the familiarity one gains through applying themselves in the field. So I ardently request of you the opportunity to add your business to the skillfully applied foundation of my life’s masterpiece. Allow me to introduce myself in person and confer how your needs and my abilities will compliment each other’s investments. I look forward to discussing in greater detail how we can utilize my communication knowledge, commitment to detail, and hunger for a challenge, to benefit your organization. Respectfully, Lynette F. Clower 1
