      A Microbe is a small organism (Micro-organism) there are 4 types of basic microbe. Some of these are regarded as non-living things, but in fact they are.
      Protozoa
      Virus
      Bacteria
      Fungi
      Not all microbes are dangerous; we use microbes for our own benefit. Microbes are found in Yogurt, Bread, Beer, Medicines and wines.
      Sizes
      A Bacterium is 1/100th of a mm large.
      Some bacteria are harmless.
      3 Vital things you MUST know about bacteria
      Spread and grow very quickly
      Killed or affected by anti-biotics.
      Food poisoning, tetanus and sore throats are cases of bacteria.
      A Virus is 1/1000, 000th big.
      4 Vital things you MUST know about Viruses
      Genetic information are kept inside a coat
      Not affected by anti-biotics
      Release poisons and harmful substances
      Colds, flu, polio and chicken pox are cases of Viruses.
      Respiration
      Some microbes carry out anaerobic respiration. This means that they do not need oxygen to carry out their respiration.
      In Beer, Cider and wine making, yeast cells carry out anaerobic respiration.
      Aerobic Respiration is the opposite of Anarobic.
      Glucose Carbon Dioxide = Ethanol
      Catching or getting a microbe
      Breathed in
      Touching something
      Ingested through the mouth
      Enter through cuts or bites in skin
