  • 9. Not very accurate. Small airports may use these, cuz they’re cheap
  • 10. VOR – Very High Frequency Omni Directional Range
  • 11. DME – Distance Measuring System</li></ul>Pilots Situational Awareness<br /><ul><li>GPWS – Ground Proximity Warning System “Radar Altimeter”
  • 12. TAWS – Terrain Awareness Warning System
  • 13. Digital terrain map/GPS
  • 14. OCAS – Obstacle Collision Avoidance System
  • 15. Onboard radar of the aircraft
  • 16. Synthetic Vision
  • 17. Computer generation of outside environment
  • 18. PCAS – Portable Collision Avoidance System
  • 19. Listens passively to other transponders interrogations
