  • The Vision is simple – to make Canada a true digital nation. Encouraging job creation, global competitiveness and a focused approach by linking Canada’s leading digital media centres with industry, government and academia.
  • Will recruit hubs of digital media centres across the country to fill in the Digital Media puzzle for Canada – and break down the silos
  • One of the exciting digital media centre initiatives is the creation of the University of Waterloo Stratford Institute. It has been a true partnership between government, industry and academia.
  • Mix of creative minds in Stratford, business and technology of industry and the world leading University of WaterlooBuilding a skills base in Digital Media2,000 students and 200 facultyPartnership investment of $60MCurriculum is multi-disciplinary
  • Another member of the CDMN is The Communitech Hub. Based in Kitchener, “The Hub” will be onstream in Spring 2010 and will leverage the 600+ technology based companies plus 3 colleges and universities to accelerate the commercialization of start-ups and new technologies.
