  • 2. Singing<br />“The First Lady of Song” Ella Fitzgerald was a very popular jazz singer and won 13 Grammys and sold over 40 million albums<br />
  • 3. Birth<br />Ella Fitzgerald was born on April 25th,1917 in Newport News, VA<br />
  • 4. After Birth<br />Shortly after birth she was born she moved to Yonkers, New York<br />
  • 5. Her Singing Debut<br />On November 21st,1934 she made her singing debut and she was only 17<br />
  • 6. Her Band<br />At the Apollo Theater in Harlem, NY she met a band leader named Chick Webb and began singing with his orchestra through 1935<br />
  • 7. She Died<br />She died June 15th,1996 at the age of 79<br />
