    9. Muscle Injuries
      • 1. Strain- is the tearing or stretching of muscle fibers when they are suddenly pulled apart too far.
    10. Treatment for Strain
      • 1. Apply an ice pack to the affected area.
      • 2. Take Analgesics.
    11. 2. Cramp
      • It is an uncontrolled and prolonged contraction of a muscle accompanied by pain.
      • It is caused by build up of lactic acid in the muscle during of immediately after a strenuous exercise.
      • Lactic Acid-Milk Acid
      • It is also caused by lack of oxygen in the muscle due to poor blood circulation when in awkward sitting position.

      • Massage the affected area.

      • Discoloration of the muscle. Black and blue spot caused by the blood from the injured muscle (pasa).

      • Cold compress to prevent swelling and ease the pain.

      • 1. Tendinitis is an inflammation or swelling of the tendons specially in the knees, heels, shoulders, and elbow.

      • Doctors use anti-inflammatory drugs to cure tendinitis.

      • The sheath around the tendon become swollen. The finger becomes swollen.

      • It is called trigger finger because when the finger unlocks, it pops back suddenly, as if releasing a trigger on a gun.

      • An inherited muscular disorder in which the muscles slowly become weak.
      • Muscular dystrophies are characterized by progressive skeletal muscle weakness, defects in muscle proteins , and the death of muscle cells and tissue
    31. Treatment for Muscular Dystrophy
      • There is no known cure for muscular dystrophy. However, they should not be allowed to get overweight because this will make their condition worse. They should be active.
