  • 1 SILO DESCRIPTION: The silo is made of mdf sheets. Tests showed that this material is an optimal solution to prevent static electricity of the small pellets. Measurements of the silo depend on the desired capacity of the system. The diameter of the hole at the bottom determines the flow speed of the pellets out of the silo. The flow speed does not depend on the amount of pellets, it remains the same. First the mdf sheets have to be sawn and afterwards fixed to each other by using screws. It is important to seal up the silo completely with silicon or putty to prevent unwanted flow of pellets. Optional: perspex can be used at the front side of the silo to make it possible to see the amount of pellets in the silo.   • 2 SILO COVER DESCRIPTION: The cover at the top of the silo is made of a wooden frame. A cloth is stretched over the frame and fixed with staples When pellets are sucked up by using the venturi system, air also comes into the silo. The cloth is used to make it possible to let the air escape without the small pellets Saw machine, drilling machine, stapler, screws
  • 3 PP VALVE DESCRIPTION: A valve is fitted at the bottom of the silo. This valve makes sure that there is no unwanted flow of pellets when the system is closed. A pneumatic cylinder is connected to a mdf sheet which is fixed on the back side of the silo. Because of the high forces of the cylinder on the handle of the valve, the system is strengthened with 2 aluminum profiles. The cylinder has to be fixed at an angle of 45 degrees . At the bottom of the valve is screw thread provided which is useful when you want to mount a small nozzle.   • 3 PP VALVE
  • 54 SUPPORT STRUCTURE DESCRIPTION The silo is fixed with 4 bolts on a metal frame which is adjustable in height. The frame consists of square profiles of 40 x 40 x 2 mm and 35 x 35 x 2 mm and is welded. 3h Metal saw machine, drilling machine, welding machine, spanners The metal profiles have to be sawed at the required length
  • 5 VENTURI SYSTEM DESCRIPTION At the top of the silo a hole has to be drilled to fit the venturi system. The system is fixed on 2 aluminum U-shape profiles which are connected to the silo. By using bolts and nuts the system is easily to assemble or disassemble. At the top of the venturi is a connector to fit a tube. The suction hose can be fitted on the venturi system. A clamping ring makes sure that the hose is fixed. 20 min Manual saw, drilling machine, spanners A venturi system was bought 2 schort aluminum U-profiles, bolts, nuts The costs are depending on the materials
  • 36 PRESSURE REGULATOR DESCRIPTION The pressure regulator can be fixed on the silo with a bolt-nut connection. Factories normally have a pneumatic circuit with a pressure between 6-7 bar. By using a pressure regulator, the air flow can be regulated, which makes it possible set the suction speed for the pellets. 15 min Teflon tape, spanners Pressure regular was bought Depends on pressure regulator

  • 8 STRAPS DESCRIPTION: The final step is fixing the tubes on the metal square profiles with straps. This step is important to prevent faltering which could damage the pneumatic circuit or injure the person using the styvocontrol 10 min. straps bought 15 straps are used
