A presentation prepared for the Lilly Conference of Greensboro, NC, February 5, 2010.

In the spring of 2009, librarians at Wake Forest University had the option to participate in a semester-long course covering basic learning theory, application and practices. Each session offered both presentation and active learning to role model good teaching practices. This course was so popular that a modified version was offered in the fall semester, in which the instructors facilitated group discussion. Demand for the class continues and we will offer other adaptations in future semesters. Come to this session to learn more about the program and think about possible applications for your own institution or department.
