Q2. How does your media product represent particular social groups? Q2. How does your media product represent particular social groups? Presentation Transcript

    • Q2. How does you media productrepresent particular social groups?
    • My music magazine is aimed at both men and women who have a love for the indie genre of music. Most of the production was based around my audience feedback as that is what my target audience would want to see. I used my audience research to pick the colourscheme. The colours that where most favoured to be seen on the front of an indie music magazine were black, red and white. I added the yellow colour tomake the magazine stand out from other professional music magazines. I made the title of my magazine ‘INDIE’ to represent the main target audience and so that it will be obvious to the target audience that it is a indie music magazine. It says the genre of music it represents within itself.
    • The model in the main image has real individualityand attitudes that the audience can relate to andshe is portraying an indie style and pose. I alsobased the models clothing in the main image onone of the audience research questions, which was‘Three words that you would associate with Indiemusic’. The words that came back whererock, atmosphere, crowd, tight jeans, skinnyjeans, checkered shirts and stretchers. So I had mymodel wear skinny jeans and a checkered shirt torepresent indie.
    • The content that is on the contents page is all based on indie bands or artists which will represent the indie music genre and the reader can relate to the articles and will be interested in them as they are a fan of indie music. I have also stuck to the colour scheme that I chosen based on the audience research keeping the readers interested all the way through as it shows that I have listened to what they want to see from the magazine.
    • The article that makes the The images that I have taken and I have used simpledouble page spread is an used on the DPS show that the informal language that isinterview with an indie band are fun and have a special easy to understand so thatband who are breaking bond together. This will create a the reader wont loseinto the music business feeling for the reader to respect interest and will carry onmeaning that any indie the band.
