Why Hispanic Girls? There is a particular urgency regarding Latina girls. Highest risk for a susceptibility to teen pregnancy, drug abuse, health issues such as obesity & a drop in grades. This is of special concern because Hispanics represent the fastest-growing segment of the U.S. population. There is a lack of bilingual and bicultural programs that serve this population.
